Former Birmingham City winger Jordan Graham is in hospital following a serious traffic accident this month. He is getting specialist care, and the Professional Footballers' Association has released a statement for his family.
The PFA stated his family are "incredibly grateful for the care he is receiving". They also said, "They respectfully ask for privacy and that people refrain from contacting them directly while they focus entirely on Jordan and his recovery."
Graham played for Birmingham City in the Championship after moving from Gillingham. A graduate of Aston Villa's academy, he also had a spell at Wolves and temporary moves to clubs such as Fulham and Oxford United. He has not played professionally since his departure from Leyton Orient.
His previous teams Gillingham and Leyton Orient have offered their support, with Orient saying, 'We're all with you JG.' The news emerges as Birmingham City's current team gets ready for its next match. They are set to play against nearby rivals West Bromwich Albion.
